We are from China. Before the university entrance examination, we did not know what kind of university to go to, like many international students, and just aspired for a university in a big city such as Tokyo. We discussed with our class teacher many times, and we have also checked a lot of information. Consequently, we decided for ourselves to enter the University of Yamanashi. At school, teachers in various subjects are very kindly, and classmates are also very friendly to us. In our life, since the University of Yamanashi is a national university, the tuition is low. In addition, there are a tuition waiver program and various support systems. There are also many types of scholarships. We could hardly believe that we could get scholarships soon after we entered the university. It is precisely because of such friendly people and fulfilling university support system that we gradually adapted to the new campus life. We have excellent lessons every day, and learn about not only specialized knowledge but also some cultural subjects related to our lives and future jobs. We are impressed that the University of Yamanashi aims to develop students not only for getting employment but also for achieving socially useful, sophisticated character. We have studied here for almost one year, and now we think the choice of Yamanashi University is really correct.
