As a foreign student from Malaysia, the University of Yamanashi is the ideal place for me to further expand my technical knowledge and skills. When I first came here in 2006, my first impression is that the University had a very beautiful campus with great facilities located near the center of Kofu. Foreign students are well taken care of by very friendly and helpful staff of the foreign student’s office. Furthermore, the university provides accommodation for the first year of studies. In terms of campus life, small classes of around 50 students make it easier for the lecturers to pay attention to us at certain times, plus the friendly classmates and lecturers make my learning experience in Japan a very good one. Whenever you need help, there is always someone there to lend a hand. As we all know, Japan’s technology is world-class, and University of Yamanashi Engineering Faculty can provide that world-class technical education with many highly experienced and well respected professors as the teaching staff who can speak good English if needed. The small-sized classes will make sure that nobody is left behind especially foreign students like me. Overall, the great learning environment that this university promotes makes my experience here in Japan very memorable.
