Information is a key element to forming a prosperous and peaceful society.
The Computer Science and Media Engineering tries to deepen the basic areas of technology that are related to computers which are the foundation of the information technology and to improve the areas of application. We strive to foster specialized information　engineers, who have flexibility, imaginative powers, and applied skills. These engineers will be capable of designing, manufacturing and analyzing, information systems that are the foundation for creating new industries using the novel attitude of being free from existing academic fields and of solving problems, as well as the ability to effectively manipulate multimedia information technology, which includes speech, images and moving images.
In order to achieve this purpose, this program provides Computer Science and Media Engineering courses offering advanced studies in software and hardware technology, science technology on the multimedia information network, which is key to the information society of the 21st century. Also offered are information science and engineering fields, including information processing technology, mainly including intellectual communication using computers to spread and develop engineering basic technology in the next generation of the information society.
To respond to the quickly advancing innovation technology, we also feature the establishment of systems which deepen the industry-academia-government collaboration in the local area, understand the needs of the society and rapidly respond to those needs.
