We foster practical software engineers who can actively work as a bridge between Japan and China.

We bring out practical software engineers with a rich sense of humanity who can actively work as a bridge between Japan and China, through collaboration between industry and academia.

Recently, the advancement of information and communication technology is bringing unprecedented changes in various fields of society. Especially the information systems as infrastructure of the society are becoming larger and more complex. Therefore, the existence of highly capable software engineers is essential in the development, application and maintenance of information systems. As in the case of offshore development, developing systems across multiple countries is no longer a rare case. To work across borders, software engineers need to have the ability to understand not only how industrial societies operate but also the history and culture of both countries.

For this purpose, we developed a new education program to train the abovementioned professionals. This program consists of unique classes in addition to the classes in Computer Science and Media Engineering; long-term internship and training camps are introduced as important education methods. In this way, industry and academia people can work together to foster software engineers with rich sense of humanity, practical skills and the ability to work as the bridges between Japan and China.
