Acquiring knowledge and the creation of a technology, which correspond to the requirements of a new age, are necessary for the "establishment of a safe and sustainable foundation of a society in harmony with the environment". We regard humans, their artifacts and nature as the basic elements of society and provide studies on physical, chemical and biological technology, as well as the development and application of management technology, to harmonize human activities and artifacts with nature. We foster human resources that promote the creation of the foundation of a society that will correspond to the requirements of the new age.
"Structural Engineering" course provides studies on the establishment of the design and construction technology of civil structures and facilities focused on the relationship of society, humans and nature, and of a maintenance management system of construction, including disaster prevention systems.
In "Infrastructure Engineering" course, students analyze and integrate engineering problems on towns, local areas, traffic, scenery, river environment and the environment of the earth as well as study on planning, design and management that will create a social foundation, comprehensively considering amenities, safety and economic potentials.
"Environmental Engineering" course provides educations on grasping dynamic states of contamination in environments, clarification of contamination mechanism, evaluation of harmful effects, water and sewerage, chemical and biological water processing systems, proper waste management, ecosystem maintenance and utilization of material cycles.
