We offer classes about Yamanashi. We offer weekend class tours to famous places in Yamanashi.

At all seasons you will enjoy seeing the mountains that are representative of what Japan is..There is the highest mountain in Japan, Mt. Fuji, with a height of 3776 m, Mt, Kita-dake, the 2nd highest mountain in Japan, at 3192 m in height; the highest peak of Mt. Yatsuga-take, Mt. Aka-dake, with a height of 2899 m and Mt. Mizugaki-yama of the Kofu Basin (We have the Alpine Club “Walking club” ).

You can spend an enjoyable day of skiing, driving, hiking at the leisure facilities. In spring you can see the glittering of pink and you have a wonderful time driving around Togenkyo, Lake Kawaguchiko and Kiyosato.

Yamanashi has excellent fruits (peaches, grapes and cherries and so on), wines and local food, pumpkin Hoto (*). Yamanashi is the birthplace of wine in Japan. Grape fields spread over Katsunuma and Tominooka.
*This is known as Shingen Takeda's field ration, and a local delicacy of Koshu. The pumpkin Hoto is stewed udon flavored with seasonal vegetables and miso. Hoto has a high nutritional value and is used in health food diets. Generally, pumpkin and meats are added. You can buy the noodles at any supermarket. Some people prefer cold Hoto.

Takeda-jinja Shrine	This shrine was built in 1919 on the site of the house where the Takeda family lived for 3 generations, and enshrines the deity Shingen Takeda. (20 min. from Yamanashi University on foot)
Erin-ji Temple	Shingen Takeda's family temple. (Get off at Enzan station and take a bus for 20 min)
Saru-hashi Bridge	The Saru-hashi Bridge is one of 3 unique Japanese bridges and is located over the Katsura river in Yamanashi. It is supported by four layers of out riggers projecting from both ends. (Get off at Otsuki station and Take a bus for 20 min. or take Chuo Expressway by car for about 40 min.) The other brides are the Kintai bridge in Iwakuni river in Yamaguchi pref. and the Aimoto bridge in Kurobe river in Toyama pref.
Kai Zenko-ji Temple	Shingen Takeda was worried about damages to Shinshu Zenko-ji due to the Battle of Kawanakajima. He moved the principle image in 1558 and built this temple. (40 min. from Yamanashi University on foot)

Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art	This museum exhibit "The Sower" by Millet and field sculpture by Rodan. (30 min. from Kofu station by bus)
