Division of Engineering

Mechanical Systems Engineering

This program consists of energy systems, creation of shape and properties, integrated systems and Kansei information engineering, conducting broad education research regarding effective utilization of energy, new materials, nanotechnology, mechanical engineering informatics and welfare equipments based on mechanical engineering and precision engineering.

Electrical and Electronic Engineering

The concept of this program is training of the engineer who has extensive capability which can be conscious of harmony with human and the earth environment, in addition to understanding the advanced electronics and border domain technology for future technical innovation.

Computer Science and Media Engineering

We welcome students who wish to acquire knowledge and skill on computer systems and to understand human information processing mechanisms, with applications in every aspect of this society permeated with computing and communication apparatus.

Civil and Environmental Engineering

Our goal is to foster human resources who can harmonize humans, nature and infrastructure with human activity, constructing bridges, river banks, roads, railways, and so on in the new era by developing research capability as well as specialized knowledge in civil engineering and environmental engineering.

Applied Chemistry

We are looking for people who are willing to learn high levels of knowledge about functional substances and high technology, and contribute for the areas of green chemistry, nano-functional materials and clean energy.

Biotechnology

Investigation in biological phenomena to clarify the mechanism of its energy, information, material transportation and transformation, and applying them to biotechnology will greatly impact our lives. This major is comprised of two courses; bio-functional engineering course and enology synthetic science course which cultivate students with advanced knowledge and latest technique related to biological function, food, and wine.

Sustainable Society Studies

This is a multidisciplinary type educational research organization including natural science and art and social science. We are aiming for development of highly specialized professionals who can recognize the issues for sustainable society that is considered to be a superior concept of recycling society from various points of views and work on issue resolution.

Human Oriented Engineering

Creating a fusion of mechanical, electrical and electronic, and civil and environmental engineering, this program applies these technologies to medical science. Students have opportunities to learn comfort, safety and security of the individual and society as a total system.

Embedded and Integrated System Development

This program is designed to produce highly motivated engineers in response to requests from the society and industry. The goal of the program is produce engineers who address the full range of technical and societal problems by the embedded technology.

River Basin Environmental Science

We train technical experts and researchers having visions of watershed management beyond frameworks of nations and local governments who are able to consider solutions for domestic and international water problems from local and global points of view.

Masters Program in International Software Engineering

We bring out practical software engieers with a rich sense of humanity who can actively work as a bridge between Japan and China through collaboration between industry and academia.

Advanced Education Program for International Fuel Cell Engineers

(MEXT Support Program for Improving Graduate School Education)

The purpose of this program is to train technological researchers in fuel cell engineering who can conduct the most advanced research in the future and be active internationally.
